Kindness

Last night as I was leaving the Art on the Square reception in Belleville, I arrived too late at the shuttle stop so I walked another block and a Metro bus drove up.  No one else was on the bus and all I had was a $20 bill so I driver said, “I’ll cover this one” … put $2 in and then he gave me a transfer pass on top of it to ride the train back to STL.

We can all get pretty cynical but there are moments of kindness from strangers that always gives me hope for humanity.  Do something unexpectedly kind for someone today … and you’ll make a memory.
